What is the importance of a Lineage?

A lineage is like a spiritual battery connecting the true enlightened mind of another master of the same clan with the next successor. They carry this tradition much like a sacred pearl of true awareness. They are connected to all the minds of the awakened ones in the lineage going back to the very first master who created the lineage.

In an oral tradition, secret instructions are passed from one master to another master keeping the integrity of the art whole and undiluted. There are outer, inner and secret teachings.

Without a true lineage, enlightenment in these modern days are next to impossible.

Can I get a recording to an online event?

We are currently unable to share recordings of online events to the general public due to copyright and trademark restrictions. In the future this may change! We are currently working on the possibility of making pre-recorded online courses available.

We do offer short-term access to a recording of the Monthly Whispering Teapot event to Mercury Members of our Immortals Cavern Membership Program.

In the past, we have spent a great deal of resources removing illegal recordings of our content from the web so we are very careful how and what we make available.

In our efforts in keeping the art sacred and an oral tradition, we ask when you attend an online event you treat it as if you were at a live seminar – including no recordings or photos of any kind or sharing of the practices with others.

Thank you for assisting us in keeping this art sacred.

I just finished the book! What do I do now?

Practice, practice, practice:) Live your art!

Review the New Student Guide for the recommended steps, attend an online or in-person seminar, and consider joining our membership community!

What do you mean by an “Oral Tradition” and “Keeping the Art Sacred”?

An oral tradition is secret instructions passed from one master to another master keeping the integrity of the art whole and undiluted. There are outer, inner and secret teachings in all traditional systems that are true.

For us, keeping the art sacred means to be an example of the path and to live in the right way in the world within the body, mind and spirit. It means not adding or subtracting from the art.

For students who attend our classes, keeping the art sacred means to not teach the art(the practices) to others including not sharing pictures or videos of us or of instruction. What you experience is classes and events if for you.

Who should NOT practice the KUNLUN System?

People who are bipolar, experiencing alcoholic or drug addiction, angry, or experiencing any form of heart condition should never practice this art until they have purified all mental and physical limitations.

A detailed list of the KUNLUN Do’s and Don’ts can be found here.

How do I deal with psychic attacks, negative forces or entities?

In our tradition, we see all as mind. By developing the spatial awareness of non-polarity, all elements of mind can be changed through understanding of the Tao.

Various experiences may reflect our fears or aspects of ourselves that need our attention. They may show us where we can become more balanced. The One Breath and the Five Elements practices from the KUNLUN System book can support us in bringing us back to our center. They help balance the elements within us, ground us and to calm the mind. An imbalance in the heart may accompany anger, an imbalance in the kidney may accompany fear.

We use all experiences as an opportunity to master ourselves. We remember that fear is a positive experience waiting to be revealed to us.

One must give permission for such things to occur either consciously or subconsciously. Our mind is the element which creates our present reality.

How can I deal with stress, fear, and negative experiences?

Fear is something you do not yet understand. It is a positive experience hidden within one’s mind of polarity yet to be discovered.  Stress, suffering and negativity is created by one’s unfulfilled mind through attachment and grasping leading to these experiences. All things are created by the mind and can be changed by proper use of the clear mind. Embracing the virtues of joy, love, compassion, humility along for yourself and others and living from your heart with a childlike playful nature are powerful.

What is your definition of enlightenment and how do I reach it?

There are many forms of enlightenment. Some are scholarly, outer understandings, some are alchemical or longevity focused. The form depends on the linage.

In our lineage, enlightenment means to attain the original clear light state. When this occurs, the body is refined into pure radiant light and then reformed back into the physical form. This can be seen by sensitive or awakened beings. To get to this state you must first be aware of there is a path, then become illuminated to the truth by your direct experience. Your own cultivation can naturally brings you to this form of enlightenment with a true lineage like the KUNLUN System.

For us, a healthy lifestyle means to walk on the earth in a way that is gentle, healing and empowering and to do no harm. It is about living the life that we are inspired to and wish that for you as well.

First and most importantly, we recommend students take beautiful care of themselves with the highest quality organic and ethical living foods. Know where your food come from and how it was treated. We recommend organic, pastured – humanely raised & harvested foods with environmental stewardship in mind. We do not indulge in one kingdom more than the other following the ways of nature creating balance. This is the middle path.

Make sure the water you are drinking is clean and pure. Take every opportunity to explore and be in nature.

Live with your mind in the heart and treat yourself and others with the virtues of love, compassion, humility, and joy. Do your practices which will build strong protective chi and breath from your belly with the One Breath.

We live in harmony with the energies of the seasons and the cosmos resting when we need rest and staying active in the ways that bring us joy. We spend as much time as possible in nature and regenerative environments. Nature is the greatest teacher and healer of mind, body, and spirit.

How should one deal with an illness?

Experiencing an illness can be a very stressful time. This is a time to have enormous love, compassion, and goodness towards yourself. Max and Diane are not medical professionals and cannot give medical advice, however their teachings can inspire and uplift you on your path.

We always advise students seek advice from a professional who is knowledgeable about an illness and to always make sure they feel completely supported and understood by their medical team.

How do I become an apprentice or study in person with Max?

There is no apprentice program currently. Max and Diane believe that you must first master yourself and experience your own manifestations and awakening.

How is the KUNLUN System different from other paths of awakening?

This path is known as the water path, which is not commonly known or practiced in modern times. It brings the spiritual manifestations from within the body, whereas fire path practices work from outer to inner through the ascent of the fire form of energy. Fire path practices very often require constant supervision and guidance from a teacher or guru. The water path is self-regulating and self-advancing. Once you initiate the flow, your own practice, cultivation and purification determine the outcome.

The KUNLUN System is called the “Path of Inner Alchemy Leading to the Truth from Within.” We invite you to explore the book where you will learn everything you need to know about this path.

Can I attain my full awakening/enlightenment from the book?

No. The book can take you very far alone in your practice but it teaches you only the outer form and its manifestations and foundations. Once you have reached a certain level of awakening then you must receive an in-person transmission from someone who has attained their Gold dragon body. Everyone’s awakening is different. This can take up to a year or longer. You can explore our events page to find upcoming in-person and online classes!

Do you have classes or a school?

There is no school to come learn from per se but there is a very clear path which you can learn about in our book and New Student Guide. The KUNLUN System is very different from most of the traditions on the planet which are fire path. This tradition cultivates internal alchemy through surrendering to the divine flow and does not require the constant supervision of a teacher or guru.

During the warm seasons we do travel around and have classes in different locations as well as hold online classes and offer an online membership program. Overseas students connect with the online classes,  zoom session and join the membership program.

You can explore all of our upcoming events here!

Can I practice when I am on my moon cycle?

We instruct students to pause all energy practices during their moon as kidney energy is focused on that process and is weakened. Doing the practice will only weaken you. This is a wonderful time to nurture and celebrate your entire being. Your body is a miracle and this is a wonderful time to celebrate her. You will not lose any cultivation by pausing your practice during you moon.
